Water, Sanitation and Hygiene

As Meherpur district is high land from sea level, there is a scarcity of pure drinking water in this area. To provide pure drinking water for the students SUBAH has established Tube well in various educational institutions. Most of the people who live in villages are under the poverty level. They are usually day laborers. They have no ability to make sanitary toilets on their own. Most of them are using open toilets which are totally unhygienic and cause environmental pollution.

Subah Social Development Agency conducted a baseline survey and identified 27 poor families in Meherpur Sadar Upazila, Amjhupi Union, Amjhupi village in the project of providing Semi-Paka toilets to them. Bangladesh NGO Foundation with special allocation for the financial year 2019-2020 BDT 5.00,000 (five lakh) out of 27 families without any cost!
