The Quarterly Meeting of the Tobacco Control Taskforce Committee was held in Meherpur Sadar Upazila under the chairmanship of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO).
Representatives from the Bangladesh Anti-Tobacco Alliance and other organizations working in the field of tobacco control attended the meeting. Representing Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha, Mr. Moin-Ul-Alam, Executive Director, participated in the discussion.
The meeting focused on reviewing the progress of implementing the Tobacco Control Act, addressing the challenges faced at the local level, and strengthening joint efforts to ensure effective enforcement of tobacco control initiatives.
Through active participation in such coordination meetings, Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha reaffirms its commitment to promoting a tobacco-free society and safeguarding public health in Bangladesh.
