Meherpur News, December 2, 2014, On the occasion of NGO Foundation Day, a rally and discussion meeting were held in Meherpur, jointly organized by the District Administration and the NGO Foundation.

The day’s events began on Tuesday morning with a rally led by Deputy Commissioner Mahamud Hossain, which started from the Shilpakala Academy and marched through the main roads of the town, concluding at the Deputy Commissioner’s office.

Following the rally, a discussion session was held in the DC’s conference room. The meeting was presided over by Moin-ul-Alam, Executive Director of Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha. The Deputy Commissioner Mahamud Hossain attended the session as the chief guest, while Abu Bakar Siddiq, Deputy Director of the Department of Social Services, was present as a special guest.

Speakers at the session included Abu Jafar from Shandhani Organization and Mosarraf Hossain, Executive Director of Palashipara Samaj Kalyan Samiti, among others. The discussion highlighted the role of NGOs in community development and the importance of collaboration between local administration and non-governmental organizations for sustainable progress.
