Meherpur News, August 23, 2015, A coordination meeting with NGOs operating in Meherpur Sadar Upazila was held on Sunday, organized by the Meherpur Sadar Upazila Parishad. The event took place in the Upazila Parishad auditorium.
The meeting was presided over by Acting Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Shahinuzzaman. Among the speakers were Assistant Commissioner Sonia Akhter, Pirojpur UP Chairman Shamsul Alam, Moshiarraf Hossain, District Representative of BRAC, Naser Chowdhury, Executive Director of Meherpur Foundation, Moin-ul-Alam, Director of Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha, and Tripti Kona Biswas, Director of CDP.
Participants discussed ways to improve collaboration among NGOs and align development activities more closely with local needs and government priorities.
Agricultural Loan Committee Meeting Also Held
On the same day, a meeting of the Agricultural Loan Committee of Meherpur Sadar Upazila was also conducted at the Upazila Parishad auditorium. This session was also chaired by Acting UNO Shahinuzzaman.
Speakers included Assistant Commissioner Sonia Akhter and Acting Secondary Education Officer Hosne Mobarak, among others. The meeting focused on reviewing loan distribution processes and ensuring support for local farmers.
