Transforming Lives Through Skill Development
On June 2, 2024, Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha successfully conducted a powerful community development event at Jamjami Union Parishad under Alamdanga Upazila, with active support from the Department of Women Affairs, which operates under the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs.
The program was dedicated to VWB (Vulnerable Women Benefit) beneficiaries, aiming to uplift underprivileged women by providing them with income-generating training and nutritional support through rice distribution.
Training That Builds a Future
The income-increasing training sessions were specially designed to help women acquire new skills that could lead to self-employment, cottage industries, or other sustainable means of livelihood. These initiatives play a pivotal role in promoting financial independence, especially in rural areas where opportunities are limited.
Rice Distribution for Food Security
As part of the same initiative, essential rice was distributed among the VWB beneficiaries to meet their immediate household food needs. The inclusion of rice distribution ensures that short-term sustenance is addressed alongside long-term development goals.
Commitment to Social Upliftment
Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha remains committed to supporting marginalized communities—particularly women—through holistic programs that empower them both economically and socially. With continued support from the government and local administration, more such events are expected to be held in other unions in the near future.
