๐ŸŒพ VWB Beneficiaries Receive Support for Income Growth and Nutrition

On July 1, 2024, an impactful event took place at Jamjami Union Parishad, Alamdanga Upazila, focusing on the upliftment of women under the Vulnerable Women Benefit (VWB) program. The event was implemented by Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha, with generous support from the Department of Women Affairs, operating under the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs.

The main objective of this initiative was to empower women through income-generating training sessions and provide essential food assistance, particularly rice, to enhance both their economic independence and food security.


๐Ÿ’ผ Skills Training and Immediate Relief Combined

 

During the event, selected VWB beneficiaries participated in practical training designed to help them develop skills for income generation. The training focused on locally relevant activities that could offer sustainable economic benefits for women in vulnerable situations.

As part of the support package, rice was distributed to each participating woman, addressing immediate household needs and ensuring food stability while they embark on their path to self-reliance.

This program is one of many coordinated efforts by Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha to support underprivileged women. Through strategic partnerships with government departments, they are creating real impact in rural areas like Jamjami Union.
